About White Russian
White Russian is an indica-dominant hybrid created by breeding AK-47 with White Widow. The plants produce dense, trichome-coated buds with a complex terpene profile that blends sweet floral notes with earthy pine and a sharp chemical-fuel finish. The buds are olive green and gold with heavy orange pistil coverage. The high is powerfully balanced: an initial cerebral euphoria and creative uplift from the AK-47 influence gives way to a warm, relaxing body stone from the White Widow side. White Russian became the flagship strain for Serious Seeds and remains one of the most respected Amsterdam-bred hybrids of the 1990s.

The Story & Lineage Origin
White Russian was bred by Serious Seeds in the mid-1990s, crossing two of the most famous strains in Dutch seed bank history: AK-47 (winner of multiple Cannabis Cups) and White Widow (the strain that put Green House Seeds on the map). The strain quickly gained a reputation for its resin production and potent, balanced effects.
It was one of the earliest examples of a 'polyhybrid' that combined two already-complex hybrid lines, setting the stage for the multi-layered genetics that would dominate 2000s cannabis. White Russian was frequently featured in High Times and became a benchmark for quality hybrid breeding.
Its name references both the AK-47's Russian-sounding name and White Widow's white trichome coverage.
